Welcome to the BCS Methods and Tools Specialist Group Website

This is a regional Specialist Group based in Manchester. Its objective is to provide a forum for exchange of knowledge and practical experience of methods and tools for the effective and efficient development and maintenance of information systems.

To this end, past meetings have focused on mainstream methods such as SSADM, IE, Rapid Application Development (DSDM) and tools for application building and testing. Interests in novel developments are also maintained and events on Naked Objects and contemporary trends in Requirements Gathering and Definition have been held or planned.

The group meets about 5 times a year, usually at Manchester Metropolitan University.
